Proceed with caution. Customer Service is headed down the tubes. Prices are over and above other mechanics, and while the Supervisor/Lead man (Josh) proves he can read, he does not consider alternatives means to repair, does not listen, is rude, and proves not to be trusted.. He will agreed when a viable solutuon is presented as an alternative, says he will price out and get back to you, but not to be believed. It's 2 weeks now and not a word. Mobile Tech may have once been a place I took my truck for work, but no longer true. Proceed with caution and always get a second opinion. Was there in Aug, 2017 and back Sept, 2017 with same problem just worse. Very disappointed.

Kathy, Thank you for taking time to reach out to us, even if it was a 2 weeks. I believe Joshua has been trying to find someone local to rebuild this unit to save you money but unfortunately has come up short. He has also been trying to find a reman and used option that is not costly. He will continue his search. I am a bit perplexed as to you saying you were here in August of 2017 and back again in September of 2017 for the same problem. I reviewed the complaint you had in August and it was not for a noise but for a leak in the rear, to which you requested that your friend and my technician/employee at the time perform, which he did. Your complaint in September was for a noise/hum that developed on a trip from Washington, D.C. it was determined that it was coming from the rear end. We replaced the seal as requested (unsure how long it was leaking) which likely contributed to a rather common Ford rear axle failure. Sadly we also don’t know if it’s ever been serviced either which sadly is the “nail in the coffin” Not sure exactly how you are comparing prices vs warranty, but I sure hope it’s apples to apples and not apples to oranges as I suspect, as I am constantly hounded by my competitors and other shop owners for being so cheap and them not “understanding how they can do it for so cheap” Thank you for taking your vehicle to the shop two times for two different issues and letting your friend perform the work, we all greatly appreciate it.. I am sorry you may have not liked what you heard the third time and decided to condemn the entire shop over it. I do appreciate you reaching out and hope that after you make your rounds to other shops in the area that maybe you will one day appreciate the upfront honesty we offered and the warranty/price reflecting a qaulity repair and service. I will reach out to Kevin as well in the matter to see what can be resolved. After reaching out to Kevin about this and talking with more with Josh it seems that not only have they both reached out to you, they have spoken to you and the ball was essentially in your hand to bring it back to the shop. Truly disgusting how people leave reviews like this even after people go out of there way to help you. It’s almost discouraging to have to deal with people who are so ignorant to recognize someone is trying to do you favor rather then go all keyboard cowboy and trash you and your staff. Kinda hope you pay double what we were would have charged, maybe you won’t be so quick to go victim. Thank you again.

I recommend this shop every chance I get. I've trusted these guys with my vehicles for at least three years. I tried to tip a tech once and he insisted I put my money back in my pocket. He said he didn't want my money, he'd rather I "tell my friends." I just picked my car up this afternoon, and I was absolutely delighted that I was not charged any extra storage fees. I'd taken my car in last Thursday, and because of circumstances, my car was stuck on one of their lifts until today -- nearly a week later. Every hour my car was on that lift was money out of this shop's pocket. I'm so happy they didn't expect me to pay for circumstances I couldn't control. This place is pretty great.

Matthew, I’m blown away by the kind words. I really take pride in my staff and their willingness to take the extra mile for customers. This is exactly the experience we try for everyday. Glad my guys hit the mark. David Friend Owner/ASE Master Certified Technician

MobileTech is great. Been using these guys for 5 or so years now. I feel like it is an honest shop. They tell you what NEEDS to be done versus what you can wait to do. We have a Toyota and Lexus and they take care of both. They do not charge for diagnosis and their prices are great on the work they do; for instance when my timing belt was replaced in the 4runner, they were several hundred cheaper than the nearest competition and half of the Toyota dealership. I visit the new location since its closer to the house. The fellas that work there are pleasant and easy to talk to. Highly recommend.

Where do I begin !! Drop off my f250 for repair. I'm told it's the ignition is bad needs replaced. First the next day they tell me the batteries needed replacing they wouldn't charge. After I told them no magically the next day they charged to 100%. So they diagnose the problem to be bad ignition . Ok I also had them fix the oil leak from oil cooler gaskets. 2121.07 was my total. I paid it and took my truck home. Within 24hrs the same exact thing happens again. I send the truck back to the shop when they call they tell me another 2k plus . One part they tell me is 800.00 when I hang up with them I immediately google the same oem part $145 all day. They are a complete rip off. Trust me there are better places with much more fair prices. I would not recommend this shop to anyone. Do yourself a favor and shop around . By the way I'm a 48 year old male who has been around and knows when your being hustled

Where do we begin... Vehicle comes in with a melted ignition switch and enough after market garbage wiring to make a 16 year old have a hard on in the Advanced Auto parking lot. You really bought the wrong vehicle if you are worried about price, but that's an entirely different story that I think another Ford diesel truck owner should elaborate with you on. There is not one single part on your estimate that is $800, not one, not a SINGLE part on this estimate is $800. You sir are a complete liar and you are completely embellishing the quote we gave you. I wish I could look you in the eyes and tell you this to you face. Love the story about how you got good deal on it in in Texas, such a good deal you had to add 1 gallon of oil every 200 miles just to limp it to North Carolina. Lets talk about your mis-matched batteries that DO NOT, even after charging for 24 hours, hold a charge. Any one with any common sense about diesels will tell you the battery is the life line of your Ford Diesel, but you know that, after all you are a 48 year old male, how could discharging 3+ year old batteries several times and recharging them, in 40F or less temperature NOT damage the battery. I would think after 48 years of your male-hood you would have picked that up. So lets talk about what this needs and what happened. When it arrived to us the first time around, dumping qts of oil on the ground and in the parking lot, the ignition switch was found melted it was replaced. You paid only $105 dollars to replace, the rest went to repairing the massive oil leaks. It returned for the same issue, surprise another melted ignition switch! By pass it and find that the starter relay is now bad as well, and whats this? It also melted the transmission range sensor as well. Also, while we are digging through the rat nest of garbage wiring in the vehicle that there is a water leak directly into the General Electric Module, water causing the relay to stick and melt the ignition switch, the relay, and likely helped the range sensor along as well. - nice corrosion all over it, because you know we did that when we were there, after we drove it 400,000 miles. Now we are baffled, how does the transmission range sensor go bad like this? Oh that's right the shift tube on the shifter/column is broken, has stretched the cable and caused damage to the range sensor as well, yeah we made all this up because we love trying to source 19 year old used and discontinued parts for hours. Did you even take 5 minutes to think about this truck before you bought it? Honestly, what can we help you with? You bought a vehicle you obviously have no idea what it cost to maintain, not sure why you felt inclined to leave such a bad review over this heap. You good deal, turns into our bad deal. Famous last words of anyone buying a car "I got a good deal on it". You sure did. I guess you expect us to swap another switch in, so it too can melt right? You do understand we spend one or two days with your vehicle. but you, you spend weeks with it. With more problems then I could list, how can you expect to toss $105 at it and it all goes away? I have pictures of this thing, 1FTNX20F6XEB89476 <- thats the VIN CarFax it yourself. What a heap, hope this review and my reply steer anyone else who's expectation cant align with reality, because this is a BS review through and through. You are a part of a small handful of people who really get under my skin. Hope you cheap out on everyone of these repairs and you sit on the side of the road from your own bad decisions.
